The Complete Works of St. John of the Cross - 3 Volume Set3 Volume Set - Imrpimatur, 1933. Volume 1 - General Introduction, Ascent of Mount Carmel, Dark Night of the Soul. 486 page book. Volume 2 - Spiritual Canticle & Poems. 470 page book. Volume 3 - Living Flame of Love, Letters, Maxims & Documents. 470 page book. Translated from the critical edition of P Silverio De Santa Teresa, C.D. and edited by E. Allison Peers. This three-volume collection brings together the major writings of Saint John of the Cross, Carmelite mystic and Doctor of the Church, presenting his profound teaching on the soul’s journey toward perfect union with God. Beginning with The Ascent of Mount Carmel and The Dark Night of the Soul, Saint John describes the necessary purification of the senses and spirit, the detachment of the soul from created things, and the transforming work of faith, hope, and charity. What begins as an arduous passage through spiritual darkness is ultimately directed toward one purpose: freedom from all that hinders the soul from being united with God in love. The journey continues in the Spiritual Canticle, where the imagery shifts from purification to the ardent love between the soul and Christ its Divine Spouse. Drawing upon the language and imagery of the Song of Songs, Saint John follows the soul through longing, spiritual betrothal, and finally spiritual marriage—the highest union attainable in this life. Volume II includes both principal redactions of the Spiritual Canticle as well as his collected poems, revealing the extraordinary poetry from which many of his mystical treatises developed. The collection reaches its culmination in The Living Flame of Love, in which Saint John writes of the soul already transformed and deeply united with God, consumed yet perfected by Divine love. The final volume also gathers his practical and personal writings—including his Cautions, counsels on attaining perfection, spiritual sentences and maxims, surviving letters, historical documents, and extensive supplementary material. Together, these three volumes offer not merely a collection of separate works, but a remarkably complete vision of the mystical life: purification, longing, union, and transformation in the love of God. The Complete Works of St. John of the Cross - Volume 3Volume 3 - Living Flame of Love, Cautions, Spiritual Sentences and Maxims, Letters, Sundry Documents, etc. Translated from the critical edition of P Silverio De Santa Teresa, C.D. and edited by E. Allison Peers. Imprimatur, 1933. 470 page book. The third and concluding volume opens with The Living Flame of Love, the shortest and among the most sublime of St. John of the Cross’s major mystical treatises. Where the earlier works describe purification, longing, and the soul’s approach to union, The Living Flame considers the soul already transformed by Divine love and drawn into an increasingly profound communion with God. Through the image of the living flame, St. John describes the action of the Holy Spirit within the purified soul, the tenderness and intensity of Divine love, and the soul’s desire for the perfection of eternal union. The volume includes both the first and second redactions of this work. Volume III then gathers St. John’s shorter spiritual writings and personal documents, including his Cautions, counsels for religious seeking perfection, spiritual sentences and maxims, and surviving letters. It also preserves documents written or signed by him, spiritual sayings attributed to him, and extensive historical appendices concerning his life, writings, and reputation, followed by a bibliography and detailed indices. This final volume moves beyond his great mystical treatises to reveal St. John as spiritual director, religious superior, correspondent, and historical figure. N-CWSJ3 Only: $22.00 |

The Catholic Statuary Company factory burned down in
1991. The devastating fire completely
destroyed the manufacturing facility. This sudden loss,
combined with the broader 1990s industry shift away from
traditional local chalkware (plaster) production toward
imported resin pieces, effectively brought an end to the
company's decades of high-volume local manufacturing.
After the disaster we were lucky enough to acquire a stock
of their beautiful, traditional statues. These vintage
statues are still in their original boxes and packing and
have been stored in our warehouse for over 30 years.
There statues are rare to be in "new" condition and are in
public domain!
They are very limited stock! Once we are sold out these statues will never be available in this condition again! |

Love,
Peace, and JoyA Month of the Sacred Heart According to St. Gertrude. Rev. Andre Prevot. Impr, 1911, 203 page book. The intentions in publishing this modest work is to help souls; to help others to see and taste, with greater relish, how good is the Heart of Jesus. And to imprint on the hearts of our readers one of those words of Gertrude to which Our Lord has promised to attach an especial grace, and which, filling their souls with a sweet unction, may become a source of spiritual riches for life. This work is divided into thirty lectures, so that it may be used as a devotion for the Month of the Sacred Heart. We hope that under this form it will everywhere meet with a more ready acceptance, and may with God’s grace especially suit all the clients of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and all those souls who in the world, the cloister, or the sanctuary, devote themselves to the work of reparation. Textual
Concordance of the Holy ScriptureArranged Especially for Use in Preaching. By Rev. Thomas David Williams Imprimatur, 1908. [Pope] Leo XIII, in his encyclical, Providentissimus Deus, on the study of Holy Scripture, speaking of the life and power that the frequent use of the Sacred Text gives to the utterances of the preacher of the Divine Word, adds: “And it is this peculiar and singular power of Holy Scripture, arising from the inspiration of the Holy Ghost, which gives authority to the sacred orator, fills him with apostolic liberty of speech, and communicated force and power to his eloquence. For those who infuse into their efforts the spirit and strength of the Word of God speak not in word only, but in power also, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much fulness. Hence, those preachers are foolish and improvident who, in speaking of religion and proclaiming the things of God, use no words but those of human science and human prudence, trusting to their own reasonings rather than to those of God. Their discourses may be brilliant and fine, but they must be feeble and they must be cold, for they are without the fire of the utterance of God, and they must fall short of that mighty power which the speech of God possesses.” To Give this power, and to place at more ready disposal the treasures of this sacred mine, the present work has been compiled, and is now offered. This work is a textual concordance of Holy Scripture, arranged especially for use in preaching. N-TXTC Was: $39.90 Now: $31.92 |

Joyous
ThoughtsOur Heavenly Father wishes us to possess joyousness. In fact, He eve made it mandatory that we “rejoice in the Lord always.” Since we can at all times and in all circumstances serve the Lord, it is in our power always to “rejoice”. From the Preface: This little book is intended to convey messages of joy. Included in this book is a number of poems and verses expressing joy of heart. They are given here in the hope that they may impart true joy to the reader as they have done to the author. It is morally certain that they will at least banish serious doubt concerning the value of the greatest gift of God to man. Let us read or re-read this little volume, and, with God’s grace, strive to acquire a high appreciation of life. Let us beg in humble prayer the gift of joy which is the Fruit of the Holy Ghost. Thus we can make life well worth living; it will be a rich source of pleasure and merit to us, and of untold blessings to those with whom we live. First printed in 1954 with Imprimatur, 56 page booklet. N-JOTH Was: $7.80 Now: $6.24 |
